Oven King have been busy behind the scenes working on one final piece to the Oven King puzzle. We have long been wanting a company mascot to represent us as a recognisable figure for marketing, brand awareness and for our customers to enjoy.
Obviously with the company name being Oven King it was really a no brainer to use a King as our company mascot. The difficult part to the equation was finding something that adhered to the look and feel to the Oven King brand as it stood, we have strict corporate colours in the form of bright oranges and whites which we wanted to stick to, so the journey to find a suitable character for us began.
Firstly we decided to approach smaller design websites such as Fiverr and put our design brief out to a few free lance artists who came back with some pretty nice designs. But nothing that we as a company were 100% happy with.
Moving forward and learning from attempting to cut corners the Managing Director of the company contacted an old friend of his John Green knowing he was a great artist who, was quite happy to undertake the contract. Oven King wanted a clean cut image, and with the combined efforts of the minds of our team and John’s flair and ability for design the final King was born.
The final king will represent the company for many years to come and our immediate plans are to put the Oven King mascot onto our vans alongside the existing van livery we have so far.
We already have been commenting on the size of our kings legs muscles already, which pokes fun at just how much strength is required to get down on your hands and knees and scrub the ovens to perfection.
We’re sure that you will see a lot more of our OvenKing in the near future and his face should be on the minds of all of our customers. It also paves the way for us to do any T.V. advertisements in the future as an animated character, but that might be a few years away yet.
