Over the past few months Oven King have been conducting online research as well as speaking to lettings agencies and of course the customers themselves, from all of this research we have been convinced that the industry that we are entering has proven to be all very positive ticking all of the boxes and we are keen to take the next step by building up a multi-van operation within our local area before the launch of our franchise operation.
Our team has been out over a three day period to complete an industry recognised training course covering all aspects of commercial and domestic oven cleaning. This course leads to each and every service van operator gaining a certified qualification and being added to a list of qualified oven cleaning specialists.
The course itself has proven to be a real insight into the work that goes into an oven cleaning business and how Oven King as a company can improve on what proved to be a solid foundation in which to base our cleaning methods on.
Day one saw our technicians working through the various types of domestic ovens, what each type of oven looks like and how to remove the doors and sections off of these different brands to maximise the end result. This basic knowledge is fundamental in running a smooth local oven cleaning operation saving the technician time and effort when it comes to each and every job. The first day also saw each technician learning about the various kinds of cleaning products, chemicals, tools and the benefits of using non-caustic cleaning products over caustic alternatives.
Days two and three were more orientated around real ‘on the job’ work experience with each of our technicians shadowing existing professionals on their daily rounds. A day included the cleaning of around three to four ovens with some hobs, extractor fans and additional jobs on top of these. This ‘Hands on’ types of training always proves to be far more beneficial as you can learn far quicker how to perform a service to the highest quality when you are actually cleaning within a genuine customers home.
The professionals that our team got to work with over the three day period proved to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process and all of our newly trained oven cleaning technicians can now provide the quality of service that is expected from the high standards set in place by Oven King as a company.
